Citizens Bank In 1913, Dr. Alfred Jones, the first president of Farmers
Bank and a State Senator at the time, was instrumental in passing
a bill that brought the railroad to Marshall County, Tennessee.
What was then the Lewisburg-Northern Railroad eventually became
a part of the Louisville-Nashville, or L&N, Railroad which
played a major role in attracting industry to the county. We're
proud that our first president was such a big part of our community's
progress. Today, we're continuing that tradition, but with a new
name, Citizen's Bank.
